Description
Did you know that sunflowers turn their face toward the sun? It is wonderful to see a beautiful field of sunflowers growing. It is also wonderful to see a large bouquet of sunflowers in a vase in your home. I took the reference photo that this painting is loosely based on.
But, I happen to love Van Gogh’s amazing sunflower paintings that are painted with such bold strokes. This one, too, is painted loosely, using bold strokes and texture. The vase is based loosely on a pitcher from a painting by Renoir.
